Past Events
Fall 2021
A Show of Gratitude
We were hosted the inaugural Art Opening at the art center in October of 2021! We honored artists who worked to build the vision of Chama Valley Arts and without their tireless effort we would not be where we are today. This was A Show of Gratitude for their valuable work.
With partial funding from the Village of Chama Lodgers Tax Fund.
Fall 2021
Creating a fairytale scavenger hunt
These fun sessions, held Saturdays throughout October, engaged school-age children through using their creativity to create fairytale scavenger hunts!

Winter 2020
Puppet Making Workshop
We got the opportunity to work with the elementary students at this local private catholic school which serves mostly Jicarilla Apache children from Dulce, NM. We get one zoom session each week with every class. All of the materials for the puppet workshops were donated by community members. We are not allowed to take pictures of the students but we will work on getting testimonials.
Fall 2020
LIVE Streaming Concert
Using Facebook LIVE, we hosted a fall concert featuring 5 artists! It was a donation based event, that was coordinated by mostly volunteers. They helped set up the stage, organize the logistics of live streaming, and helping get the word out to the whole community, and beyond! Artists were Miguel Duran and Ruben Hernandez of Vintage Rock; vocalists Beth Filiowich and Karen Crawford; and Al Marino with blues and rock.
Summer 2020
Creativity Bags
We got fabric donated and volunteers sewed the colorful, reusable bags. A few local businesses took donations of art supplies from the community, and with donated money we were able to buy even more. Volunteers filled the bags with a mix of the goodies. The bags were available at a few local spots, with social media getting the word out. We distributed 137 art supply care packages.
